Feb 22, 2010 - I'm trying to stay organic. Any suggestion?.. Thanks for the info!

Feb 22, 2010 - well i primarily am a drugstore shopper, but i can give you ingredient suggestions if that makes sense. check out the link in the side bar that says "all hair products explained". you want to look for products that do not contain anionic surfactants, but do contain amphoteric surfactants (the gentle ones). health food stores like trader joes or whole foods are great places for finding organic hair care products. some of my favorite brands are kinky curly, aubrey organics, and giovanni. hth! :)

Jan 28, 2011 - quick question. im pretty sure you didnt say but im not positive. how often do you do the citrus rinse?

waterlily716 Says:

Jan 28, 2011 - i use a sulfate free shampoo or a citrus rinse about once a month or so. not very often at all... i'm at college now so i don't really have access to fresh fruit all the time. i need to get a little thing of lemon juice because i LOVE citrus rinses. thanks for reminding me. :)

Nov 5, 2011 - Here's a "few" questions :P How often would you use the conditioner and the lemon or ACV rinse? Would you ever just wash hair with only water or would you wear a shower cap? Would you recommend using oils in the hair? If conditioners or rinses aren't used often, does the hair begin to smell? If so, do you use anything for fragrance?

aqua1993 Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - Also, this isn't really related to "no poo", but would you recommend using chamomile or beer on hair?

waterlily716 Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - I use conditioner washes almost every day. For any other kind of rinse, I would only do it once a week. Even ACV and lemon can be drying. I use a shower cap sometimes. :) I don't use oils, but I think it's a good idea for dry ends. My hair never smells so idk. I have never used chamomile or beer on my hair.

aqua1993 Says:

Nov 5, 2011 - Thank you for answering all my questions :)

Nov 26, 2011 - i've just watched this video and cant wait to get started on it. i had fairly good thick curly hair but due to hair fall i switched to dove shampoo and conditioners. although my hair continues to fall its started to become straight from the scalp onwards. my hair nw looks confused! straight + curly. it looks ok d day i wash it bt d nxt day its limp n practically 'curl-less'. ne particular tips for this?

waterlily716 Says:

Nov 27, 2011 - it just sounds like your hair has become wavy over the years. waves can tend to fall out into straight hair... you might try doing braid outs for your second day hair!

Nov 27, 2011 - what is your take on body shop hair products? i stay in india so most of the products that are listed by you are a lil difficult to find here. if u cn tell me of ne website that ships to india it wud be great. also if a yes for body shop then which products.

waterlily716 Says:

Nov 27, 2011 - sorry, but i have never used body shop products, nor do i know much about websites that ship to india! sorry!

Tulujevu Says:

Nov 30, 2011 - , I am Indian although I live outside India. Watch all of waterlily716 videos and understand the "Curly girl" method. You need to look for ingredient labels on each brand. If it has anything ending with sulfate or "cone", for eg- Sodium or Ammonium Laureth/ Lauryl sulfate or Dimethicone etc, then don't use it. Use silicone free conditioner to wash your hair, gel it before "plopping" and air dry your hair with a regular towel- not the" turkish" towel. Not sure but try Himalaya brand.

Apr 15, 2012 - "Congratulations on the puzzle box, David!" Your brother is so cute! You guys seem to look alike. I like how he nodded a "yes" to one of your products. What a good sister to let him be in your video. You seem like a precious girl, Sarah. My mom is now on to your videos, as I was explaining the brown sugar/Suave coconut co-wash to her--and she is 85!!! You're a hit with all ages! lol God bless.
